Innovations in Instruction Award

Award applications may be submitted here: https://gnosis.usfca.edu/awards/

This award recognizes innovative teaching methods, approaches, and techniques. Criteria for selection are:

  • completion of a minimum of 16 units

  • evidence over a period of time at USF of extraordinary dedication to teaching and to students

  • detailed descriptions of the design and implementation of unique and beneficial approaches to teaching

The committee's decision will be based on the quality (not the quantity) of the materials submitted by the candidate. The materials should include only achievements at USF (not from other institutions). The recipient will receive a framed certificate and a $2000.00 cash award. Their name will also be placed in the May commencement program.

If you are nominating an adjunct professor for this award, YOU must notify the nominee (the committee will not notify nominees). It is recommended that nominators inform nominees of your intent to nominate no later than February 29th, to provide them with enough time to compile their supporting materials for submission by the March 25th deadline.
