Adjunct Professor 1 (non-PHP): $2,329
Adjunct Professor 2 (PHP1): $2792

Filing for Unemployment
Part-time faculty contracts end at the close of each semester. USF’s administration and Part Time Faculty Association have agreed that, for the purpose of filing an unemployment claim with the California Employment Development Department, the last day of employment is:
• Spring Semester: the last day of EXAMS
• Fall Semester: the last day of CLASSES
Commuter Clipper Card
USF provides a commuter subsidy each semester to USF-PTFA members who:
Are teaching at least one class the current semester
Do not have an on-campus parking permit
Are working on campus
Each Clipper Transit Card is pre-loaded with a commuter subsidy of $210 for the semester in the form of Clipper cash. PTFA members teaching in summer receive a pre-loaded commuter card with $70 for the term.Human Resources will send out an email announcing when the cards are available for pickup at HR on Lone Mountain. Typically, the cards are available 2 or 3 weeks after the Census Date, usually by October 1 (fall), March 1 (spring), and June 15 (summer).
You are not eligible for the commuter subsidy if you:
Have a university parking permit
Are listed on a carpool parking permit
Live within a half-mile radius of the perimeter of campus
Are not actively working
Not working on campus
Are not commutingStarting Summer 2026, adjuncts applying for commuter benefits will need to use a newly launched platform provided by Edenred. Visit Human Resources Adjunct Faculty Commuter Benefits page for instructions on using the new platform.
Koret Health and Recreation Center Membership
Part time faculty may pay $100 per year for unlimited use of USF’s Koret Health and Recreation Center.
Adjunct Faculty spouses may be eligible to become a member for $360 per year with unrestricted access (this amounts to $30 per month). Their dependents may become members by purchasing a family membership for $580 ($48/month). This pass encompasses the whole family, including the spouse and up to two children.
Spouse and dependent memberships require proof of the relationship. Marriage Certificate or tax documentation are acceptable forms of proof. To sign up, spouses and/or dependents must accompany the faculty member and bring proper documentation and a valid photo ID.
